The Reasons of a new Beginning
Goethe called it "the most beautiful promontory in the world." To Monte Pellegrino are related stories of love and death, stories that move easily between the sacred and the profane as the switchbacks that lead quickly to the top. Over the centuries, however, not everything has been faithfully handed down. Some passages in the history of the mountain have been cut and complaints, others have accepted fanciful additions. A little out of necessity, a bit, perhaps, to preserve that aura of mystery that surrounds so far this holy mountain. Few citizens of Palermo are familiar with the cape and even fewer are able to express verbally the origins and  the troubled vicissitudes. This web site will try to dig up and bring to light, thanks to the collaboration of friends and people close to me, stories, myths and itineraries related to the mountain. I opted for a blog to enrich through the instrument of the comments on our work. In the hope that the ascent of the mountain lift us from the agony of a city forgetting itself, I wish you good reading.
